Dr. Janna Fung, B.Sc., ND  |  Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine

Dr. Janna Fung is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor with a passion for preventive medicine. She enjoys empowering patients with the knowledge to achieve their optimal health. Dr. Fung understands collaboration is the only way to develop realistic, sustainable health goals and strives to provide individualized treatment plans that consider the mental/emotional, bio-chemical/metabolic and physical aspects of health.

 

She provides comprehensive health care through acupuncture, nutritional counselling, botanical medicine food sensitivity testing and more. She is also able to provide B12 shots. She enjoys treating patients of all ages and stages of life.

 

Dr. Fung, ND earned her Honours Bachelor of Science degree from McMaster University. She then received her doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto. She is a member of the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND) and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND) and is licensed with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario.

Newborns, children, adolescents, middle age and senior patients all present with unique concerns and Dr. McGuire prides herself on providing meticulous care for each and every one of those life-stages. She is passionate about educating and empowering others to take charge of their health. Some of her most active areas of practice include men’s and women’s hormone health, fat loss, sports medicine, digestive wellness with food allergy testing (pediatric and adult), and anti-aging functional medicine.

Dr. McGuire is a licensed and registered Naturopathic Doctor in Ontario with 9 years of post-graduate studies including a biology degree with honours, an extra year on holistic nutrition studies (including sound macronutrient diet science) and 4 years of rigorous Naturopathic Medical training. She has successfully completed the College of Naturopathic Doctors Pharmacology course and Prescribing exam which is an important consideration when choosing a natural health care professional that is recognized to prescribe. An awarded graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine for her outstanding patient care and clinical performance, she has additional certifications in Intravenous Vitamin Infusion Therapy (the only one amongst Orangeville NDs currently) and in Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture.

Chiropractic is a non-invasive hands-on approach for the treatment and prevention of nervous system and joint related disorders. Chiropractic is one of the largest professions of primary care in Ontario to almost 2.7 million patients of all ages; from infants to seniors. Active release technique may also be incorporated to address soft tissue system/ movement-based issues and treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves.

​​Dr. Cynthia van Hellemond graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2005. She did her undergraduate studies in Kinesiology at the University of Calgary. In 2006 she began working as a chiropractor in Orangeville, Ontario. Dr. van Hellemond is a certified full- body Active Release Techniques (ART) provider.

Dr. van Hellemond is an avid runner who has completed numerous half and full marathons. She has also completed Ironman USA 2008, half Ironman Mont Tremblant 2013, and the Transrockies multi-day point to point trail run.

in-house services to help you obtain and maintain optimum health. We comply with Custom Orthotic guidelines that Insurance companies today are enforcing.

Check with your Insurance provider to determine eligibility and whether a prescription is necessary from a foot specialist or doctor prior to your appointment.

 

Dr. van Hellemond played numerous sports growing up and began using Chiropractic care from a very young age. Currently she treats many recreational athletes, families and children. She is married to Dan and together they have three active children, Samantha, Andrew and Charlotte.

Josee is a bilingual (French & English) registered massage therapist (RMT) who graduated from CCMH (Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy) in 1997. She is trained in Swedish massage but incorporates deep tissue as well. She treats clients with sports injuries and offers pregnancy, relaxation and stress relief.

 

Josee is a mother to three busy boys all active in sports. She enjoyed a successful home practice before moving to Orangeville in late 2013 with her family. She loves the area and looks forward to meeting and working with the patients and staff at Pursuit Health Orangeville and welcoming her existing clientelle.

Christina has been a client of Registered Massage Therapy for many years.  Through personal experience she realized the many benefits Massage Therapy could offer and decided to pursue her education as an RMT.  Christina graduated from Georgian College with a diploma in Massage Therapy in 2010, and started her practice in 2011. 

 

Christina has experience working with diverse populations including: infants and pregnancy, seniors, paraplegia, athletes, scar tissue and burns.  Christina strives to work with her clients to achieve the best possible results through treatments using various techniques.  She aims to help her clients maintain and/or return to their normal activities.

Shanna-Kay Stephens, RSW, MSW
Counsellor and Family Support Worker

Clients seek counselling for a variety of reasons. Having over 6 years of individual and family counselling experience, Shanna-Kay effectively motivates, understands and relates with people of all socio-economic backgrounds, races, abilities, and cultures. With a heart for the home and family, she encourages individuals and families to seek counselling for self-care and overall psychological and emotional well-being.  She also has experience supporting and counselling individuals with parenting and relationship challenges, family and marital conflict, workplace stress, mental health such as depression and anxiety, developmental disabilities, grief and loss, self-esteem issues, and other psycho-social issues.

 

Given the everyday busyness of life, it is important to slow down and take time for you and matters close to your heart. Individuals and families are encouraged to seek counselling for self-care and overall psychological and emotional well-being because the journey starts with you.

Shanna-Kay completed a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology and Philosophy at the University of Toronto in 2005.  She went on to complete a Masters of Social Work degree at York University in 2010. She is a Registered Social Worker in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. After becoming a wife and mother, Shanna-Kay started her own business with her husband in tutoring and counselling in Brampton.  Most recently, she has joined our team and looks forward to supporting our clients in their pursuit of health and wholeness.
